Benny the Bull offers to "Spice up" United Center Vaccination Efforts by Injecting People Using T-Shirt Cannon
By John Mobley
CHICAGO, IL - FEMA, The Chicago Blackhawks, and The Chicago Bulls announced a day of fun and health to encourage Chicagoans to get vaccinated, which will take place Saturday, April 10th. It’s also being billed as a way to keep fans entertained while they wait for the shot at the United Center.
If instead of a traditional inoculation, fans would prefer to receive their vaccines from a furry with a shirt cannon, Benny the Bull will also be appearing to fulfill fans' dreams. Carrying what he insists on calling the “Covid Vaccine Cannon 6000” (CVC-6000 for short), Benny will fire doses aimlessly into crowds of no more than 25 persons (socially distanced of course) in the west parking lot zone B.
Following Benny the Bull's example, another option would be getting a literal shot from Patrick Kane. For a simple $25 tax-deductible donation, he will slap shot the vaccine directly into your face.
“I haven't been trained in any sort of medical capacity, but hey, we’re trying to save lives here. Besides, who doesn’t want to take a one-timer from the ol’ Kaner for science?” said the 3-time Stanley Cup champion.
For some lucky confirmation number holders, there will be a drawing for a chance to go one-on-one in a three point shooting contest with the the brand new Bulls' star, Nikola Vucevic. Winners can receive a percentage of the CARES act funding that was originally earmarked for Covid relief, and then went to the CPD.
The United Center hopes to see you all for the festivities!
