Jussie Smollett to Host Punk'd Reboot
By Dylan Siegfried
CHICAGO, IL - Jussie Smollett, the former Empire star, and current holder of the record for most confusing crime, has just announced his newest project. Keep an eye on your TVs this January for a reboot of the classic MTV prank show, Punk'd.
Leaning into the controversy that brought him more fame than the hard-hitting drama of the music industry ever could, Jussie will be trying to put his own spin on the Kutcher classic. "We're not just going to run out and tell folks it's a prank. We get a lot more distance if we wait until court cases are in full swing. They sue, we sue, legal teams get crazy, convictions and appeals happen. THEN we tell 'em it's all a big prank!" said Jussie. Most of the show's budget so far has gone into an extensive legal team they are keeping on retainer.
Ashton Kutcher weighed in, stating, "People keep asking me if this itself is just an elaborate prank, and it really isn’t. Jussie asked me if he could reboot the show, and I jumped at the opportunity to erase that part of my life. Now I wish I could just get Tekashi 6ix9ine to reboot 3hree and a 1/2alf Men."
At press time, Smollett confirmed that suing the city is not one of the pranks, but time will tell if he is being truthful.
