CHICAGO, IL – With the Immersive Van Gogh Exhibit leaving Chicago in September, the Lighthouse ArtSpace is excited to announce that they are going to continue using this technology to display the artwork of Ms. Taylor’s 2nd grade art class from Eisenstot Elementary School.
“We are incredibly excited to display the intricate artwork of Ms. Taylor’s class and allow the public to become immersed in such beautiful art once again,” said Adam Artson, a board member of the Lighthouse ArtSpace. He hopes this new experience will get more Chicagoans excited about modern art.
The artists in Ms. Taylor’s 2nd grade art class are excited for this opportunity to show off their artwork for thousands of people in Chicago. They told us all about the process they went through to come up with these modern masterpieces.
“I was going to color with a blue crayon, but Sarah had the blue so I coloreded it with gween instead,” said Landon Wulfsohn, who will have three of his pieces displayed in the new immersive exhibit, “I never know what I’m going to color. I just scwibble.”
Some of the other artists discussed their more detailed approach to their art. Sarah Zimmerman, an artist who focuses on realism instead of sharing her crayons, has drawn over 35 pictures of her dog, Princess.
“Princess is my favorite dog to draw. I draw him every day, but in blue. Landon knows this, and I told Ms. Taylor to tell him that I am using the blue crayon now,” explained Sarah. She proceeded to cry and wipe her nose using her entire sleeve. Ms. Taylor reminded both Landon and Sarah that there are other blue crayons in the classroom.
The Immersive Ms. Taylor’s 2nd Grade Art Class exhibit will run through December 7th, 2021. Get your tickets now to know what it’s like to be immersed in artwork too good for the refrigerator.
